Brass instruments like trumpets and French horns need a lot of lubrication to work properly. All of the different moving parts need to be continually oiled and greased to operate correctly and ensure that the right notes are played.

Trombones need a special type of lubricant to keep their slide moving quickly and freely. The Yamaha brand is recommended. Keep this in your case with the cap on tight!

All percussionists should play on the same equipment. Vic Firth SD1 snare drum sticks are recommended as they are consistently balanced and a reasonable weight. Sticks that are too light or too heavy will allow bad habits to form.
