The Stone Middle School Band Program provides a vibrant, award-winning musical experience for students and audiences alike. Supported by a dedicated staff, wonderful parents, and five outstanding feeder elementary schools (Virginia Run, Deer Park, Bull Run, Cub Run, and London Towne), Stone provides a venue for students to grow in musicianship and leadership while making lifelong friendships.

We are committed to musical excellence at all levels. Stone Bands have consistently received high ratings at district festivals, and many students choose to pursue individual excellence by performing in the annual Solo and Ensemble Festival. This dedication to quality prepares our musicians for the future; over 80% of our eighth graders continue on to perform with the Westfield High School Band, a distinguished Virginia Honor Band.

The program consists of five distinct ensembles, catering to various skill levels. To maintain our standard of excellence, students are sometimes required to attend rehearsals and sectionals both during and after school.
