STONE MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND - SOLO AND ENSEMBLE

WHAT IS SOLO AND ENSEMBLE?

Solo and Ensemble music festivals are run by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association and provide band students the opportunity to perform a solo and/or an ensemble and have their performance critiqued by an adjudicator.

Any student who participates in the Solo and Ensemble Festival will receive an extra-credit grade for the third quarter. Students who participate will also receive a VBODA medal of distinction and have their name added to the Solo and Ensemble Board in the band room.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

All band students at Stone MS are eligible for Solo and Ensemble.

WHEN IS IT?

Solo and Ensemble will be held during the day on April 25th, 2026.

Students will be assigned specific performance times closer to the event.

WHERE IS IT?

Solo and Ensemble will be held at Irving Middle School.
